Trovan
Trovan (trovafloxacin/alatrofloxacin), is an antibiotic used to treat fourteen different types of infections. The drug comes in oral and intravenous formulations. Trovafloxacin was approved by the FDA in December of 1997, and came on the market in February of 1998. Because Trovan could cause some serious liver injuries, FDA has advised physicians that it should only be prescribed to patients with serious life-threatening infections.
